The White Ferns won their second straight match as they chased down an target of 111 with just under five overs remaining, thanks to Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits’ respective contributions of 59* and 57* for Australia despite Grace Harris’ unbeaten 31 from 18 in their innings.

Nat Sciver-Brunt (c), Dani Wyatt-Hodge, Anneke Bosch, Nadine de Klerk, Sune Luus and Ayabonga Hlubi of Marizanne Kapp’s White Ferns are a formidable team with Nataliie Rutherford leading their strong bowling lineup, which makes them difficult opponents to defeat. However, South Africa are currently looking strong and therefore it would be wise for them to remain focused for this match-up against them before going into battle against South Africa next!

New Zealand Women

New Zealand Women remained competitive despite an uneventful start, as Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer led their side to post an impressive 110 runs for 20 overs in their 20-over quota. Brooke Halliday, Sophie Devine, Amelia Kerr also contributed significantly. Pakistan bowler Nashra Sandhu excelled but dropped many chances due to sloppy fielding by New Zealand Women.

White Ferns’ victory was of immense significance as defeat would have given India an opening to take second place behind Australia in their semi-final matchup. Furthermore, their performance is evidence of how strong their team currently is before facing Australia next weekend in their semi-final encounter.

New Zealand have an explosive lineup led by Sophie Devine and veteran campaigners like Leigh Kasperek and Chamari Athapaththu. Young all-rounder Melie Kerr provides depth and flexibility. Their spinners could prove particularly dangerous given that this pitch may become worn down over time.
